Oh boy.
Apparently R has grown to a height where he can reach light switches without using a step-stool.
I suspected as much yesterday when I went into his bedroom and found his overhead light on and him on the floor playing with a puzzle. He hadn’t moved his bed to stand up on it, so unless he took a flying leap he had to have been on his own tip-toes.
Just now, as I was sitting here thinking about how I don’t feel like reading my own writing today, he walked over to light here in my office and flicked it on.
What this means is that he’ll next figure out that he can turn the light on after we’ve gone to bed and have himself a little party.
In other news - Pottery Barn has kids beds on sale! We can finally move Rosco out of his convertible. I was waiting for those bad boys to go down, and I guess my wishing paid off. Now all I have to do is wish some more that they have a full-size bed in stock at the local store so we don’t have to pay that $125 shipping surcharge (ugh).
I remember when Payton first figured out that he could reach the light switches. He would turn his bedroom light on after we put him to bed. We ended up up unscrewing his light bulb at night. Now his room has a ceiling fan so we just pull the cord and it turn off with the switch still flipped. He can’t reach the cord, yet.
Dang. We took the ceiling fan out of that room when we were renovating. I might have to try taping the thing over at night if he starts getting any ideas.
