The Snarky Momma occasionally (okay, sometimes) reviews products on her review blog related to parenting, domestic goddess-try, and personal care. Her opinions are honest, based on her own experiences, and will be published even if she does not find the product satisfactory. She will always disclose how she got a product and whether she was compensated to talk about it. If you want to send her a product, contact her via email at tiffany [at] snarkymomma [dot] com.

Recap and stuff.
Since my archives have been obliterated, I thought this would be a great time to re-introduce myself to the blogosphere and greet any new readers who’ve fallen into the snark trap.
I’m Tiffany (*waves*). I started blogging in 2004 in my former blog, Blown Fuse. The title had to do with a certain home improvement frustration we were experiencing at the time (circuit breaker kept tripping). We had just purchased this home and were up to our eyeballs in improvement projects (still are). The blog was a way for me to unload some stress without biting off my husband Scott’s head constantly. After the birth of our son (“Rosco”) in 2006 the site gradually turned into a mommyblog. At that time I bought a new domain and brought my rants here to Snarky Momma.
We live in Durham, NC (land of the Tobacco Road, Durham Bulls [of Bull Durham fame] and lacrosse/prostitute scandals). I grew up near the NC coast out in the sticks (you can hear it in my accent sometimes when I get really agitated). I stay at home with the kid and piddle around with the novel I’ve been writing since 2003. I’m going to start shopping that thing around this year. (damn it.) I’m a UNC grad and often refer to them with pride or disdain depending on which sport season we’re in.
I curse a lot. Sorry. I’ve been a proficient swearer since third grade. (I became masterful with it in the schoolyard because I used to get chased a lot by boys.)
I’ve had one miscarriage (blighted ovum) and one ectopic pregnancy this year. I’ve been told they were both due to shitty luck (paraphrase). That being said, I don’t keep much that’s health-related a secret. I feel like too many women are in the dark about their reproductive health and so I want to put information out there. “Everything is going to be all right - don’t worry about it” is the shittiest advice I’ve ever received. Oh, I have endometriosis, too. And a bicornuate uterus (not so much that I wouldn’t have an almost eight lb Rosco, though). Hmm, anything else? I guess that’s it.
I try to update every day Monday through Friday, however if Rosco is throwing fits or if I feel like garbage I skip a day (or more).
Sometimes I do mini-posts in my Twitter feed. (Those are *very* random.) If you’d like to follow me there, feel free to make me your amigo, yo.
So sorry that you’ve lost your archives post but I’m actually digging the new look of the blog. Have you ever heard of Blurb.com You can turn your blog into a book so that you’ll always have your favorite post near by( insert cornball music )
I think I’ve heard of Blurb! You’ve probably just given Scott an idea. He’s totally printed out my blog archives before. I think he cares more about the old posts than I do!
When I first logged on, I thought I’d stumbled across the wrong site. I like the new colors! Keep the snark coming!

Hello-
I figured I would take this opportunity to actually say hi and all. I’m Krissy. I live out in California and I don’t know how I found your blog. I’ve been reading you for over a year now (rather stalker-ish, that) and I thought I might as well introduce myself. I obviously only check in every couple of weeks, but I always catch up.

***Hi Tiffany! Love the new look. Just wanted to tell you that I have a bicornate uterus too. Didn’t you always want to know that?
Your blog is one of my “daily checks” when I get online. It always makes me smile.

***Hi, Crystal! I read somewhere that that deformity has like a 0.5% frequency. Annoyed me. Made me feel so very unlucky.
